Born and raised in Virginia, Mike played baseball at Emory University ('05) before earning his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law ('08). That same year, he passed the Virginia Bar and joined Hollingsworth LLP, an internationally recognized litigation firm in Washington, D.C. At Hollingsworth, he worked on a wide range of complex litigation matters, including product liability, toxic torts, motor vehicle, and wrongful death cases.
In 2013, Mike stepped away from full-time law practice to launch an organic juice and smoothie bar, with locations that continue to operate today. This hands-on entrepreneurial experience gave him a deep understanding of what it takes to start, run, and scale a business (in the notoriously difficult restaurant industry); insight he now uses to advise clients with both legal and business goals in mind.
Mike returned to legal practice in 2022, joining Schroder Davis in an Of Counsel position. Outside the office, he is a film buff who enjoys writing, hiking, camping, fishing, and treasure hunting (as both a participant and a creator). He once built, wired, and plumbed a house from the ground up, with no prior building experience. He is a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
